Friends of discotec,
We are more than happy to introduce our freshly found exhibition space
at Schleifmühlgasse
12-14.
The aim of discotec is to explicitly create an independent platform for
uprising artist in the field of new media and performance. We are
thankful for the trust of the former team of the gallery 12-14
Contemporary and we are looking forward to continue our
work at this very special location. Our first exhibitions will
introduce the new artistic direction of the association at
its location at Schleifmühlgasse 12-14.
Our program reflects on a society that is faced with a digitalized
world and a digitalized discourse. We must deal with its demands, while
embracing the artistic possibilities that come along. Together with the
diverse set of artists and collectives invited for the upcoming shows,
we are aiming to transport these topics and tendencies to a broader
audience. At the same time, we are trying to challenge conventional
exhibition formats in between of the established galleries at this
culturally exciting street of Vienna.
